About this site

I'm Lakshmi, the webmaster of memorablefamilyvacationspots.com. This website is born out of my passion for travel. I was fortunate to have travelled to many cities in India, my native land, and also overseas.

It is of the recent years that I had the wonderful opportunities to enjoy great holidays abroad with my daughter and son-in-law. They took me to several tourist places and as a family we thoroughly enjoyed each one of them. I had noted many of those visits in my diary in detail hoping to make a travelogue on my return to India.

Then I came across about a company called SiteBuildIt who provides all the tools to build websites based on our passion, and guide us step by step. I went through several such sites that were built using these tools, which ultimately created more interest in me to build a website based on this. I decided to keep aside the idea of writing a travelogue for sometime and got interested in building the website about my fantastic experience.

Recently I got a chance to travel to Zanzibar Island in Africa, on the coast of Indian Ocean, and I was fascinated by the natural beauty of the land, which even inspired me to write a travel guide (ebook)about the place titled "Magic Land of Zanzibar", where I have added many travel photos and all the relevant details of the place, from my personal experience.
