Indianapolis Attractions
Our next visit was to see Indianapolis attractions. Indianapolis is the capital city of Indiana, in USA. Indianapolis literally means Indiana City. The Indianapolis city lies southeast of Lake Michigan on the White River - almost exactly in the centre of Indiana. The city's world fame, however, comes from the "Indianapolis 500", the car race held every year on the Sunday before Memorial Day on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This is the world's biggest single-day sporting event, drawing hundreds of thousands of motor sport fans. Indianapolis has a humid continental climate. Summers are very warm and humid and Spring and Autumn are usually pleasant. During our trip the weather was really pleasant. Indianapolis is home to several venues for the performing arts. This city offers a lot of other attractions also for the tourists, such as. - Indianapolis Zoo
- Indianapolis Art Center
- NCAA Hall of Champions
- The Children's Museum
- White River State Park
