The Sunshine Coast Hinterland would have to be one of the most under-rated holiday destinations in the south-east corner of Queensland (Australia).
It boasts many art and craft markets - one of the largest in Queensland at Eumundi - and dozens of dream-like cottage accommodation options.
The one we stayed at - The Narrows - is built into a hillside overlooking a babbling creek. It is surrounded by lush, tropical rain forest which is home to many forms of birdlife.
It was only for a weekend but it was a memorable experience.
