Shri Balaji Temple UK

If you are ever interested to visit a South Indian temple while you are in UK as a visitor or as a resident, Shri Balaji Temple UK is the one you should visit. It is a famous temple built in South Indian style (India's Sri Venkateswara temple at Tirupati) in August 2006. Located in Tividale, near Dudley, West Midlands, Birmingham, it is Europe's largest Hindu temple.

The temple complex has been built on 12.5 acres of wasteland in an industrial area, close to the M5 motorway. The main temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara, and fronted by two smaller temples, one dedicated to Lord Ganesha and the other dedicated to Lord Murugan. Deities of Lord Shiva, Goddess Lakshmi and Hanuman are also there in the main temple. The temple has a peaceful spiritual ambiance. The temple organises various religious activities and functions on a regular basis.

P.S: After the visit to the temple, if you want to enjoy a South Indian food you can have it in the nearby food stall. Dosa, masala dosa, idli, different types of vadas etc. are available there. Though it is a small shop the items are quite tasty. In addition, if you want to do some south Indian shopping there is a shop in front of the food stall. Even fresh vegetables are also available there.
